Holy Moly! An update?!

CweirCraft: Engineers and Explorers UPDATE OUT NOW!

Update includes 27 new mods and 1 supporting resource pack (not mandatory but strongly recommended)

See update instructions below! if you encounter any issues please feel free to send me a DM (discord: PoprossRocks)

Note: These instructions are for Windows only. For other platforms, see "Manual" instructions
  1. To make installation easier, I have packaged the modpack using the MultiMC minecraft launcher. To begin, download the pre-packaged MultiMC launcher: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Znvw2mXx23hW6qviXQ0w88BcozZNlzAv/view?usp=sharing
  2. The zip has one folder - extract it to your desktop
  3. Once extracted, open MultiMC.exe

The launcher will ask you to select an installation of Java - it may even suggest some java instances that it found on your computer. The folder comes with the correct version of java. Navigate to the packaged java version so the directory looks like this:

    openlogic-openjdk-jre-21.0.4+7-windows-x64/bin/javaw.exe

I suggest increasing the maximum allocated RAM to at least 4096mb. Click 'Finish'

  4. You should see this screen. Double click on 'CweirCraft' to launch the modpack.

  5. You will see this popup. In order to play minecraft, you must have a valid minecraft java account. Click 'Yes' to continue

  6. Click 'Add Microsoft' and follow instructions to add your minecraft account

Once linked, close the Settings window - game should launch automatically

  7. At this point, the game should open. If there are any errors send me a DM!

  8. The modpack comes pre-installed with the server already in your multiplayer tab as well as a few resource packs - feel free to disable them if you would prefer :)

  9. When you first join the server, you will be asked to select an origin as part of the "Origins" mod. You can change your origin later in the game by crafting an "Orb of Origin". You can also select "Human" to opt-out of this system.

  10. The modpack features a proxmity voice chat mod, press V in-game to view the settings.

  11. Have fun! Feel free to check the mod list below to learn more about the mods <3

To install on macOS, you will require a Minecraft mod launcher. The modpack for Mac was built with ATLauncher, and due to its simplicity and minimal design, we would reccomend ATLauncher for Mac. The Mac modpack file is compatible with all Curseforge compatible launchers. This has only been tested on Apple silicon on macOS 14 and a recent JDK build. Your mileage may vary with older macOS versions and older versions of Java.

  1. Download and install Minecraft for Mac, and ATLauncher from this link: https://atlauncher.com/downloads
  2. Download the Mac build of the modpack from this drive link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/168PglUqp5gxePCaQ7q03epLTAZFC_RBK/view?usp=sharing
  3. From the right hand side of the main ATLauncher window, select the Instances tab:
  4. In the top left right corner of the ATLauncher window, select Import to import a new instance:
  5. From the Import Instance window, click the Browse button and navigate to where you downloaded the Cweircraft modpack .zip file:
  6. Once the modpack is installed and the mods have downloaded from Curseforge, it should appear as an instance ready to play. To play, click the Play button. You may need to sign in:
  7. Once the game has launched, you should be able to select the Cweircraft server from the servers menu. Otherwise, you may need to connect manually from this URL: cweir.modded.fun
  8. Join us and enjoy the Cweircraft modded fun!
Only follow these instructions if you have previously installed the old version of the pack. If this is your first installing follow the instructions above.
  1. Make sure the game is closed before doing the update.
  2. Download the new mods: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MVA-Exi48D2qlB4EiSNyunMFWsW2oG30/view?usp=sharing
  3. Once extracted, open MultiMC.exe the same way you would launch the game normally.

Right click on the 'CweirCraft' instance and click "View Mods".

  4. Click on "View Mods" and DELETE ALL OF THE MODS IN THE FOLDER.

  5. Extract the downloaded mods into the folder. The new mods should now be installed!

  6. Download the resource pack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11aTPvYz-zGxQxOt-gAocmemCrxRJbA2_/view?usp=sharing

  7. In MultiMC, go back and click on the "Resource packs" tab.

  8. Add the new resource pack.

  9. Recommendation: Allocate at least 4096MB within your Java settings in MultiMC (DM me for help if needed)
  10. Launch the game as normal. If there are any errors send me a DM!
